눈부시게 아름답던 여인들이 그립다
세기의 미인은 아닐지라도
새색시적 내 아내가 그립다
지나가는 노인의 뒷모습 속에 문득
떠나가신 부모님도 그립다
아득한 시골 골목길서 만난
소년 소녀들의 해맑던 미소가 그립다
또 누군가에겐
눈망울이 별빛처럼 빛나는
아프리카 꼬맹이들도 그립다
때로는 내 자신도 그립다
‘그때는 그러했었지…’
제 각기 돌아볼 무렵이다
한 해가 훌쩍 지나간다
그리운 사람을 그리워해보자고

For some,
It's the ravishing beauties whose lips he could still feel
Or his newlywed bride's fresh-faced adoration on wedding day long ago
For others,
A passing glimpse of an old couple stirs memories of his parents whose hands he can no longer hold
And every street corner reminds him of his childhood friends' gapped-toothed grins
For a brief moment,
I remember myself from not long ago and feel nostalgic for who I used to be
Another year passes
Another self to remember, perhaps to miss.
Art Space J presents "people, remembered"
For us all to take a moment this winter to remember those whom we miss.
